Balance Side started with a simple idea: how much can one form change through proportion, material, and weight?
Each piece begins with the same basic language - offset planes, open space, and visible joinery - but they never feel exactly the same. Walnut can make the form feel warmer and heavier; white oak can make it feel quieter and lighter. Each one is made individually in New York, letting the material and proportions give the piece its own character.
